Jill Parker and Perrin Crews were united in marriage on June 13, 2015. The bride is the daughter of Don and Leigh Ann Parker, who reside in Southaven, Mississippi. The groom is the son of William and Catherine Crews, who reside in Oxford, Mississippi.

While attending the University of Mississippi, Jill and Perrin both attended a Greek formal in New Orleans. The pair shared a dance at a piano bar, and, as the bride puts it, the rest is history! Perrin proposed to Jill on February 25, 2014. Jill had just finished with her night class and met up with Perrin. He wanted to stop by his parents’ house, so off they went. When they pulled onto his parents’ street, Jill could see that their driveway was lined with tea light candles.

As they exited the car, Jill could hear one of their favorite songs playing. Baffled, but excited, Jill asked what was going on. A cardboard dog carrier was sitting nearby, and when Jill opened it, she found an adorable plush dog. Her soon-to-be fiancée asked if she was ready to get a puppy with him — he received an enthusiastic yes — before getting down on one knee.

Jill and Perrin had an outdoor wedding on June 13, 2015, at the Holly Court garden at Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. Reverend Mark Manning officiated the evening ceremony. The bride wore an ivory Maggie Sottero gown with a scalloped, illusion V-neckline and cap-sleeve lace bodice. A keyhole back and sweeping train added elegance and grace to the bride’s overall look.

For something old, the bride added lace from her mother’s wedding dress to her bouquet. Her gown served as something new. She borrowed her grandmother’s gold bracelet, and her aunt’s blue topaz ring rounded out the tradition.

A reception followed on the outdoor terrace of the museum’s Brushmark Restaurant.

For their honeymoon, the couple went on a Caribbean getaway to St. George, Grenada. The newlyweds are at home in Memphis, Tennessee, where Perrin works with the Achievement School District. Jill works with DeSoto County Schools.
